Assemble is gearing up to open our first shared office and coworking space in downtown Minneapolis this Fall. There are many great options for food near our 15 South Fifth Street location. Below are some of our favorite spots to grab lunch.
Just a five minute walk from Assemble’s Minneapolis shared office, the Macy’s Sky Room has one of the best salad bars in the Twin Cities. For only $9, you can enjoy a great, healthy lunch. They can accommodate bigger groups too, so it’s a great option for lunch meetings with your clients. Macy’s is located in Nicollet Mall.
Another great healthy lunch option is Sprout Salad Company. It’s just around the corner from Assemble’s Minneapolis location and offers a variety of light and more substantial salad options. If you’re too busy to get away for lunch, Sprout Salad Company delivers as well. Their located in Nicollet Mall at Suite 295. Check out their menu and order online at sproutsalad.com.
If you’re looking for a heartier lunch option, Lyon’s Pub is your place. Just a half a block away from Assemble’s Minneapolis shared office, Lyon’s Pub does bar food right. Burgers, Quesadillas, sandwiches, chili and lots of other options fill their menu. It’s a great spot if you want to duck out of the office to catch a game in the afternoon too. They open at 11 am everyday and are located at 16 South Sixth Street. Visit lyonspub.com for their full menu and more info.
If you’re craving lobster or seafood for lunch, Smack Shack is the place to go. Grab a lobster corn dog, fried oyster sliders, po’ boy or one of the many other creative seafood options they offer. Smack Shack is a 15 minute walk from Assemble, so you’ll have a chance to work off some of your lunch on the walk back to your shared office. Smack Shack is located at 603 Washington Avenue in North Minneapolis. Visit their web site at http://smack-shack.com for their full menu and more info.
There are many food trucks set up throughout downtown when the weather permits. Check out roaminghunger.com/msp to track the location of Minneapolis food trucks. Our favorites include Cafe Racer, Twin City Fritter & Philly and Smack Shack’s food truck.
